While our first planting of grass seed isn’t doing so hot, I’m proud to announce that my sweet peas are blooming and my potted heirloom tomatoes have itty bitty green tomatoes starting. For the record, folks said my plants in the raised garden bed would die because I had the wrong soil and the tomato plant didn’t have a big enough pot. Take that disbelievers. Now if only snails hadn’t devoured my only basil plant, we’d be well on our way to caprese salad heaven.
